The Dirt
Native to Eastern parts of South Asia and Southeast Asia. This plant boasts large oval leaves that will be more colorful if it receives a fair amount of light. The more light, the more colorful. New leaves are protected by a sheath that fall off when the leaf matures. Ficus can grow to be 8ft at home and even taller in the wild.
Part Sun
This plant likes most rooms with windows facing west or east. You could place it in a spot away from a very sunny window – as light intensity goes down quick as you move away from the light source.
