The leaves often resemble a fiddle and are pear-shaped. They are a lovely green color, young leaves are often brighter in tone. This tree enjoys indirect light and it does not like to be moved often but it is a good idea to rotate it so that all the leaves can receive some indirect light evenly. This plant requires patience and care but it is worth it!

The Dirt

Native to Western Africa. This tree can grow to be 49ft tall, but at home, normally does not get taller than 12ft. Even if it gets overly tall, it can always be cut back and pruned. The soil likes to be kept consistently and evenly moist but not soggy. 

Part Sun

This plant likes most rooms with windows facing west or east. You could place it in a spot away from a very sunny window – as light intensity goes down quick as you move away from the light source.

Water once a week. Before watering, feel the soil, top layer should be dry, if not dry wait a day or two. If the soil still is wet you risk giving the plant too much water, you don’t want it to rot.

Pet Toxic

Only when ingested it may cause mild oral and gastrointestinal upsetness. Keep out of reach from pets and small children.

These trees do not thrive in low light locations 

If your fiddle leaf looses leaves it can be because it is adjusting to its new environment 

Be sure to clean the dust off the leaves so it can receive enough light, once a month

Do not place this tree next to a heater or air conditioner 

If your leaves begin to fall or get brown then let the soil dry out
